A Vote Of Confidence for Liverpool
20 Nov 2017
The Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney says the official opening of the Western Sydney Airport Co headquarters in Liverpool today demonstrates that the airport project is one step closer to take off.
David Borger, Director of the Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney, said, “It’s great to see that WSA Co has decided to base its head office in Western Sydney – a huge vote of confidence in our region and an important step forward in the airport’s construction.
“WSA Co is demonstrating its commitment to the people of Western Sydney. This means the job of building this significant project is well on its way.”
“Liverpool is a great location for the WSA Co head office as it is close to the Badgerys Creek airport site and will allow easy access to stakeholders and new businesses that will set up within the city.
“Lessons from our Western Sydney Airport Conference in November tell us that community engagement should be paramount during the construction phase of the project,” he said.
“This will be a boost to the local economy, in a city that is already proving itself to be the next up-and-coming place to work.
“The airport will see 28,000 jobs by 2031 and the flow-on effects of this to not only Liverpool but neighbouring local government areas will be significant.
“What we will soon see is the transformation of Liverpool into a business and economic hub,” he said.
