NAB move a vote of confidence for Western Sydney

The Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney says having one of Australia’s biggest banking institutions move to Parramatta gives the region a real vote of confidence.

Following the National Australia Bank’s (NAB) confirmation it will consolidate its seven existing offices into two new locations – one in the Sydney CBD and one in Parramatta, David Borger, Director of the Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney, said, “This decision proves Parramatta and Western Sydney is the place to be.

“By 2020, the NAB will have a huge presence in Parramatta and I am sure it will attract many new customers because of the financial institution’s commitment to the region.

Mr Borger has congratulated the NAB in recognising the enormous potential Parramatta has to offer.

“The new $2 billion Parramatta Square project by the Walker Corporation will be the new place to do business. It makes good sense for these large organisations to be based there.

”NAB Parramatta will take up an office space of 40,000sq metres and will take the lion’s share of the 5600 workers who will work at the two locations.“This is good news for Western Sydney and for the thousands of jobs that the NAB is bringing with it,” Mr Borger said.
